Find the closest ATM and the restaurant a friend recommended with Points of Interest. Check out color-coded XM NavTraffic updates on the map with 3-D perspective and find the highway with the smoothest flow. And with the available RearView Monitor, just put Sentra in "Reverse" to get a glimpse of what's directly behind you.

Our brutal durability tests put Sentra through more extremes in a short period than it may ever encounter in its lifetime. Ordeals like locking it in a heat chamber at 140 degress and 95% humidity to simulate years of wear and tear. Coating the under-carriage with 13 years worth of corrosive salt over 120 days. And running it through 600,000 potholes. All to help ensure that years of regular use and miles of average roads won't faze Sentra a bit.

Like a metal timing chain that doesn't require scheduled replacements like rubber timing belts. And iridium-tipped spark plugs that last up to 105,000 miles -- a lot longer than traditional ones. Intelligent CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). If you're into not just the latest, but the smartest, intelligent CVT takes you there. Different from ordinary automatics, CVT is virtually "Gearless". It helps keep the engine performing at optimal rpm for efficient cruising and fast response. You're in for one quick rush of accleration and a super-smooth drive.
6-speed manual transmission. If it's full control of six gears that does it for you, the 6-speed manual keeps you close to the action. Triple-cone synchronizers in first and second gear make for brisk and precise shifting. While a smaller rpm drop with each upshift means a more seamless response to your demands.
Speed-sensitive steering. Sentra is sensitive to your needs. Its electric power steering system senses how fast you're going, so it provides a natural, solid feel at higher speeds and more power assist at low speeds for effortless maneuvers.
Ripple control. When conventional shock absorbers hit a bump, they send little "ripples" through the suspension. Sentra uses technologies developed for premium luxury sedans and sports cars, with "ripple-control" shocks that improve handling and help dampen vibrations to better the ride.
Rebound spring. Maybe you're one of those people who has never met a curve you didn't like. In that case, let us introduce the rebound springs on Sentra. They help control motion during cornering and curves to hook you up with more confident handling.
HAVE A SAFE TRIP.
Safety is the ultimate must-have on any journey, and it comes along with every Sentra, with standard advanced safety technologies including Vehicle Dynamic Control, an Anti-lock Braking System and six standard air bags.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC). Should your Sentra start to oversteer or understeer while you're driving, VDC reduces engine output and/or applies brake pressure to specific wheels to help you stay on your steered path.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Nearly everyone gets caught in a panic-braking situation at some point. If you do, 4-wheel ABS can prevent your wheels from locking up, helping you maintain steering control.
Brake Override Technology -- Like every Nissan since 2005, Sentra comes standard with Brake Override Technology. It's designed to help slow down your vehicle and bring it to a safe stop in an emergency by overriding accelerator input and reducing engine power when the accelerator and brake pedals are applied simultaneously.
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). Working in tandem with ABS, EBD sends additional braking power to the rear wheels to compensate for extra weight in the car, whether it's passengers, luggage, or both.
Front-seat Active Head Restraints. By moving up and forward in the event of a rear-end collision, Active Head Restraints help reduce whiplash-type injuries to front-seat occupants.
Six standard air bags. The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. The inflation rate of these dual-stage air bags adjusts depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. If the front passenger seat is empty, a sensor will deactivate the air bag. For side-impact protection, supplemental passenger air bags are actually built into the front seats, so they move with you as you adjust your seating position. And roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplement air bags help provide head protection for front and rear outboard passengers in side-impact collisions.
